grilled pears

Wow! It's been quite a few days since I've last posted. The weather is finally getting colder, and that makes me want to cook and bake more. I'm trying to stay off of the carbs and the baking realm, but grilling autumn fruits is still nice. Today, I will be showing you guys how I made these wonderful grilled pears.

I'll have the full recipe down below, but here's the pretty version with pictures.

For one serving, you need to start out with one pear - preferably one that isn't too soft, so that it can still maintain shape while you cook it.

Un-core the pears and cut it into fourths (or more, depending on the size). Then, mix some sugar and cinnamon together, and rub it into the cut sides of the pear. I used coconut sugar, but you can use white or brown sugar as well.

Put the pears onto a griller pan or just a grill until you get some light charred marks, and flip onto the other side and repeat.

You're basically done, but you can serve with some whipped cream or ice cream, and garnish with some cookie (or biscuit sticks).

Here is the full recipe:

Grilled Pears with Cinnamon (1 serving)
1 firm pear
1/2 tablespoon sugar (I used coconut sugar)
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
(you can honestly adjust these to your liking)

optional: whipped cream / ice cream, cookie sticks

1. Cut the pears into fourths.
2. Mix the sugar and cinnamon together, and rub them onto the cut sides of the pears.
3. Grill on both sides until you get light charred marks.
4. Serve warm. (optional with ice cream or whipped cream and garnish with cookie sticks and a sprinkle of cinnamon)

Have a happy day,

Grace Khieu
